The Animes are based on a three route game where you can end up with any one of them. In Unlimited Blade Works he ends up with Rin. In the Original Studio Deen version he ends up with Saber. Instead, it is a different version of how the original’s story can unfold. However, Unlimited Blade Works is not a sequel, prequel or spin-offnor even a remake of the original anime.
